Need help lowering the '72!!

Looking to lower the front by a 2-3 inches and the back by 4-5 inches.

Can someone on here be kind enough to point me in the right direction?

Success stories and step-by-step how-to's, if possible.

The rain has stopped out here in the San Francisco Bay Area, and I am ready to get started on some suspenstion modifications.

Thanks in advance everyone!!

An F250 isn't the ideal rig to lower but click the "lowering" links compiled in the following post. The same principles apply https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post12325576

You'll want to visit airbagit.com for possibly obtaining their F250 lowering I-beams since DJM doesn't carry 'em for 3/4-tons.

Amusing, 2 posts right together, one guy wants his truck taller and another wants his lower. Maybe you could just sell 3-4 inches to lilsmokey.
Ford I beam trucks are possibly the worst candidates for lifting/lowering.

I have heard that from others members on the forum.

While difficult, I would like to try my skills at lowering the f250 to get that. Perfect ride height for my project.

My advice would be to just get rid of the whole I-beam set up and go to A-Arms. I've never done it but measured up and eyeballed a lot of times to put a whole Chevy front end under one, don't look like it would be that tough. Then you can cut coils and get lowered spindles to get just right.

I've seen that done but instead the guy grafted the front frame clip from a 87-93 Chevy truck to maintain the engineered geometry.

That means lowered I-beams. I've never done them, all my trucks seem to set just right for my tastes. I would recommend reading every thread you can find, here and on the 67-72 specific forum site. Lots of people just don't seem to be that happy with some of those kits.

Ok guys, I was working on the truck today and looking over the suspension system on my truck today, and noticed I have these adjustment brackets on the rear suspension.

My question is, are these stock components?

Looks like I should be able to adjust the rear suspension height with set-up, however, with leaf springs... would I go up or down a bolt hole to lower the truck?

Those look like adjusters for the overload or "helper" leaf springs. Yes, it will adjust the ride height but only to compensate to level the truck when there's a pallet of bricks in the bed.
