tire size math question
I am running 245/75/16E right now that do 380 revolutions per mile. I just changed my gears from 4.10 to 4.30 for towing.
When I am not towing I am thinking of putting 265/75/16E on the rear which do 356 revs per mile.
It seems to me that that is about 3 percent, but I'm no math genius.
Would the difference be enough to bring my gearing back up to almost 4.10 again?

Your tire combo should bring you to 4.03 equivalent gearing. The revolutions per mile numbers may not be exact, but it should get you close.
(356/380) x 4.30 = 4.03 is the quick formula.
