88 F150 Fuel pump problems
I have an 88 F150 302 4x4 with Dual gas tanks. When I'm running on the rear tank, the truck runs fine but it also dumps gas into the front tank. It does this to the point where the front tank will actually overflow. If I'm running on the front tank everything works fine. Has anyone encountered this??

the recall was for up to 12 yrs old trucks. There are zillions of posts on this subject. just do a search for fuel pumps, dual tanks, fuel overflow, or crossover valve,of which I don't think exists but folks were calling it by that name. The checkvalves are in the pump modules. LOTS of info on this....
p.s. I think I still have my recall notice from Ford. I took mine in and they said if I wasn't having a problem, (which I wasn't) then I had nothing to worry about. '91 5.0
