Hi. I turned my truck on after work tonight ('09 F250 6.4 PSD w/ 4x4) and it had a message on the dash saying " drive slowly in a circle to calibrate"? What was it calibrating? How often might I see this message in the future? The message went away after I was able to navigate a couple of turns to a clear area in the parking lot and do the circle. Thanks.

Do you have an electronic compass? Sounds like the procedure to calibrate it. Not sure why it lost calibration - maybe you were under a power line or some other electromagnetic field and blew its little mind.

It does have the computerized compass. I park next to 2 giant generators at work (as they each have a brick structure surrounding them and each are as long as about 5 parking spot widths). Not sure if they would do anything. Compass was what sort of came to mind when it happened. Thanks.
