Looking into a future project. I want to do the entire brake system on my truck within a few months. I did a forum search and came up empty. So what I'm asking is where is the best place to buy brake system parts for a 78 f250 dual piston power brakes. Jeffs has stuff for f150. Lmc has the parts but im sure somewhere else they're cheaper. Summit doesnt have everything plus i dont know if i trust summit because it seems like the search is bringing up the wrong parts.
That stuff is still available over the counter. Go to NAPA, no reason to go to the specialty suppliers.
Specialty suppliers will have the same parts but at a premium.
There is a company that everyone talks about as far as good pre bent hard lines.....ah Mike o0o0o0 you remember it?
Rock Auto is about the best as far as $$ so I hear and since you are there remember to do wheel bearing's, rotors/drums, soft brake lines, master cyl and power booster.
Proportional valve may just clean up and flush out?
79 f250 rear brake rebuild cost me about 200$(?) from NAPA;
Drums,wheel cyl,hardware kit,seals,shoes,plus the cost to press the hubs off and on.I think the drums(big one's) where 55$ a piece 2 1/2" by 12" ?
