Some run with it capped off, not unplugged or removed...
The main function of the EBPS is to control the EBPV during cold weather. You could try cleaning the tube and sensor, but I wouldn't look for any miraculous fuel mileage gains.

I just replaced my tube and sensor.
there was no cleaning it to make it better. now I dont have to worry about that for a looooong time.
have pics, but not loaded to Photobucket at this time.
tube is cheap. sensor is $90. but now I am done is the way I look at it.
