Was wondering what size block will the 272 heads fit.
I.have an 56 ford f250 that the previous owner had takin apart and took the heads off the motor and left it open for 20 years dont know what to do with it should i try to rebuild it or just look for a new block

A Y Block head will fit any Y block. So the heads on your 272 will fit a 239, 256, 272, 292, or 312. The best thing to do is identify them with the casting number - there isn't really a 272 head but some heads are better than others.
Rebuild it!

Rebuild may depend upon whether it was left outside in the elements. If it was, I'd look for another block, having torn down too many of that type junker.

Well, the first thing is to determine if it is stuck...
