So every time I park my truck I have a puddle of fuel under the back of the motor. I have slowly been hunting down all the little issues from when I got the truck. Now onto the leaks.
It doesnt look like its running from the front along the oil pan. The filter gasket isnt leaking.
I also have oil all over the driveshaft, diff and part of my turbo. Not even sure where to start with the oil leaks. I want to get the fuel taken care of first.
Generally the fuel leaks come from either the little hoses that connect the fuel pump to everything else, or from leaking o-rings in the fuel bowl, or from a fuel pump that is on its way out.
As much a pain as it is, unless you want to do a new pump, hoses and o-rings all at the same time, it's best to dive into the valley there head first and dry everything up real well so you can see exactly where the leak starts. It could also be something as simple as the banjo bolt on the back of the fuel pump needing to be tightened up a little. Until you get everything dried up down in the valley of death, you can't really do a lot unless you want to just replace everything just to be sure.
It's kind of the same thing with the oil leaks. You have to clean up the mess to see where it starts.
Thanks! I like that one too. So do you or anyone else have a diagram or picture of everything that is in the valley? I am still pretty new to these motors so I dont really know which is what and where it all is. Honestly I dont even know where the pump is :/ I know where the filter housing is! haha

Now maybe that labeled pic of the valley? (if that one above has it then my comp didnt show it) I know I've seen one on here somewhere. I just cant remember which thread. I'll keep digging.
Here is a picture that was in the thread listed above:
And another...
Basically the fuel pump sits below the fuel bowl, and to the rear of it. It is kind of tucked down in there so it isn't real easy to see (and definitely isn't easy to reach). But it is down in the valley between the back of the fuel bowl and the front of the turbo. You can see the brass colored top of it if you look down in there. It is just a mechanical pump driven off a lobe on the camshaft.

Thanks guys! Hopefully I'll start picking at it slowly this week. Once the fuel leak is found then the oil will take some time lol. I think the whole motor just leaks out of every crevice >.< the PO must have not done much with it for up keep.
I also have a shake in the front end. I just rebalanced the tires yesterday at a buddys shop so they are good. We are going to do the rears again this coming weekend to rule that out. I do know I need new rotors since the one on the passenger side is cracked but after spending the $120 for the 2 calipers when I did the dana 60 swap I didnt buy the rotors yet.
Any other ideas of what the shake might be? U joint seams fine. Also its still there when I push in the clutch.
I figured id hear a wheel bearing if it was that but I've never had one shake like this before.... when I installed the track bar it was all solid. But then I drove it for a week with unbalanced front tires and shook terrible so maybe it loosened that up? Would that make it shake? Never had a rig with a track bar.
