My truck is using about 2 quarts on a 700 mile round trip pulling 5ooo lbs threw the mountains. I just put a turbo on it but it used oil before the turbo . My engine has zero leaks and 98,000 original miles.
I have read about the cdr valve making this happen so how can I check this? I have a feeling that the valve seals are a little rotted because if I idle a while then take of it seems to smoke a little for a minute. Im sure that came from it sitting. What do you think?
By the way, take your breather inlet off at the turbo. If it's oily around the turbo inlet, thats a sign that the cdr valve needs cleaning or replaced.
