I was looking through my 1974 F100 manual(Canadian) and found that there was a light Duty and Heavy Duty trailer Package available. The manual also said they come with a "Emblem" on the truck. I have not seen one, do they exist- pics would help allot. I have everything in the HD package but the 7 wire plug- Big rad, tranny cooler, gauges, dual batteries etc.

1977/79 F150/350: Located on tailgate-center lower // 1976/79 Econoline: Located on back door // 1978/79 Bronco: Located on tailgate.
AFAIK, none of these emblems are reproduced. No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has D3TZ-16720-Y or D4TZ-16720-F
Thanks for the numbers and photos. I have an emblem on the drivers side fender (nothing on the passenger side) but I think it is a dealer installed item relating to were the vehicle was purchased from? It is now faded out and I cannot read what it said. Funny thing is they drilled through the fender to install it.

1970/72 CamperSpecial rectangular emblem (D0TZ-16720-D) fades, before too long, cannot be read. 1969: Ford used decals for Heavy Duty Special, Contractors Special & Farm & Ranch Special.
1970/72: These emblems are "sisters" to D0TZ-16720-D, fade away over time.
There was no 'trailer tow' kit available from FoMoCo, factory installed only. RV dealers offered trailer tow kits as did U-Haul.
Factory installed trailer tow has enough relays to choke an elephant. Things were different back then, most people used full sized station wagons to tow trailers.
New book on Airstream Trailers shows a "Wally Byam Caravan" parked near Great Pyramids of Egypt. Only three of the vehicles are pickups, Cornbinders (IHC Travel All's), full sized wagons predominate.
Casting numbers are foundry marks, cannot be cross referenced to Ford part numbers. Found on blocks, heads, intake/exhaust manifolds, steering gearbox housings, trans cases, extension housings, pumpkins and etc.
Numbers found on emblems, electrical parts, sheet metal, grilles, etc are ID engineering numbers, can be cross referenced to Ford parts number by using Ford Master Cross Reference catalogs.
Many electrical parts ID numbers found in parts catalogs, so I don't have to go out to the garage to look for them.
Have a HUGE binder w/5 of these bound paper catalogs (cover 1973/2000) on work bench in garage. It's too damn heavy and ungainly to lift while sitting on backside behind laptop.
Laptop, microfiche viewer, stacks of note pads, DC catalogs and other crap piled on 1900's round mission quarter sawn oak dining table that no one dines at.
