Problems
It seems that the cookies are not tracking the viewed posts again
and YES I did clear the cache.
Safari 5.1.7 Mac Pro
Also have seen some very slow load times. Checked with ISP and they had
a look at the page I was trying to view and they said it was on FTE's end
and too many images from advertising servers trying to load too much and
choking. It seams that the advertising servers get first rating when it comes
to loading a page and when they drag everything is slow.

I've had that same "read thread" issue using IE, but it's never been something that's bothered me all that much.
As far as the ads, you'd be surprised how much better and faster the site is when you become a supporter. No more ads and the pages load significantly faster.
I'm STILL waiting on my t-shirt/sticker for my 3 year sub though...
