Horn button

Does anyone have a spare horn button for a 52 F-7 truck? I am guessing that it is not the same button as a smaller version truck because of the overall larger diam of the steering wheel? Maybe someone will correct me if I am wrong on that.

Also does anyone have a diagram or able to tell me how the horn is supposed to operate. I have the wire coming out the bottom of the steering box and see the button area as the switch but where does all of this receive its power.

No horn mentioned that I am able to see within the shop manual wiring diagrams. Thanks

Ask this question in the 1948/56 truck forum.
B2TZ-13A805-A (replaced 7HC-3627-C) .. Horn Button / ALL 1948/52 / Obsolete/Reproduced ~ Listed in Carpenter's 1948/56 truck reproduction parts catalog as 7HC-3627-C @ $18.00.

Carpenter's repro parts catalog is free, call 800-476-9653 and ask for the puppy.

The 1948/56 Ford Truck Parts Catalog is available on a CD from hipoparts.com for about 22 bucks.

Or, you can buy a new bound paper catalog from Carpenter for 200 bucks.

I was able to look on-line catalog and that is it, I am really surprised that they used the same button on all models but again thanks. Can you tell me how these original horns received their power or how they operated?

Ask this question in the 1948/56 truck forum. You'll get more help there, with catalog and shop manual pics, info from members that own like trucks.

I cannot answer your question as I've never owned a 1948/52. I haven't a chance of fitting in the cab (6-5 300).

Hello Big Job, so correct me if I am misunderstanding but the horn buttons are not the same ( ? ) in other words this horn button that I am ordering thru Carpenters catalog will NOT fit as it should ? Thanks for the heads up if this is the case, I guess I should be glad I did not get home in time today to order it if that is the case.
