Ok I have a 93 FSB i keep haveing problems with the passanger side rear brake it gets hot when i am driving also when i hit the pedal if it has been a bit the pedal sinks to the floor but then it is solid for a short time i think the prop valve is bad any ideas please
have you jacked it up? is that side draging more than the other? is it wearing faster than the other one? could be a gunked up wheel cylinder not letting the shoes retract all the way. have you or anyone else done any maintance to the brakes latley? maybe didn't get it back together quite right
If its just one side, Its more likely to be a dragging brake shoe or broken spring. Punctuation would help those of us trying to read your post. We can then respond with accurate info.
I did put new brakes on , wheel cylinders, and springs about six months ago. I did bleed the brakes very well.I believe they are wearing faster then the rest. I did try to back it off a little, and it helped for a short time. Also nolift on the truck .
man thats strange, but i wouldn't think its the proportioning valve since it's side to side. the prop valve just controls front to back. unless there's one at the rear axle evening the pressure left and right (i wouldn't think so but?) if it were me, my next step would be to open all the conections all the way to the wheel cylinders and check for any gunk or obstructions. then try to blow out the lines with compressed air to make sure there arn't any blockages. if that dosn't fix it i would really be looking at the cylinder or springs. could be you got a defective one fron the store.
