Doc, I'd come back down but this time I try not to take the Harlan route, it was a bit tough.

OK guys and girls, this is just FWIW thing. Nothing at all against what was schedule at Truckstock which, was IMO, a first class event. What if we all drove to where we ate, any excuse to drive the trucks. That Pine Mountain Grill appeared to be a great place to eat. Less work for Shane and Amy. Wouldn't a bunch of old Ford trucks look good lined up outside? Anybody who drove a modern truck would have to park in back
I would love to see many original type trucks show up but face it, at fifty mph cruise speed or less it takes a while to get somewhere in these old trucks. I believe there were just two of us who drove original type trucks for any distance. I can only imagine what Bob and Michelle endured on their seven hundred plus mile one way journey.

My truck won't even be close to ready and my daughter will start college next fall, but I will start scheming to see if I can get away for it. I have a Truckstock picture as my wallpaper. People at work have asked if any of them are mine. I just laugh and say I wish....Western TN would be a lot closer for me, but Doc's looks beautiful.

Very good points, Ray. I wouldn't want to eat in town every meal, but at least one big meal a day would be great. In a place that can seat us all together.

Having our trucks there is essential, to the greatest extent possible. That's why I think regionals are a good idea; even if I had a decked-out rig like Garry's or Kevin's, much more than 300-400 miles requires at least a 4-day weekend, maybe more. Gas ain't cheap, either.

OK it's settled if Doc wants to put it on ,Then pick a date and start planning.I would imagine most of the original group will sign up.Now for a novel ideal. Why not have more than one? WE could do Docs in the fall and maybe one in east Tenn,or north Ga,Wi. or anyplace else in the spring or early summer.Maybe Townsend on a off week end. There are lots to chose from.Being retired frees up my dates.

Ray, the drive wasn't bad at all. The F-2 drove like I was used to. It's an old truck and it drove like it, which I really enjoyed. I just took my time and enjoyed the scenery in IN and KY.

Just ride with Bob.

I'm curious if Bob will drive the F2 to Doc's place again if Doc hosts the 2nd annual TS.

I don't think we should be volunteering Doc. Let's explore all the possibilities before heaping all the work onto any one person, especially if more people are involved.
Besides, Doc's place has snakes...
