I found this site that seems to do a lot of coatings and chroming etc... you might check them out and see if they can give you a quote. Not sure what shipping will add...

Advanced Plating. Chrome Plating and Powder Coating

I do not have personal experience with them.

Plating is a lot like painting in that the finish depends entirely on the prep. A Quality shop will not let a part out the door that looks like poop. In other words they won't "just dip it". So they have to do metal work to get the surface right if need be. Doing this costs huge bucks, as does fixing what you sent them if you did the metal work wrong trying to save yourself a few bucks. I met a guy at a local car show that told me it cost him $5000 just to chrome one part of his car. Granted the part was intricate and there was a lot of surface prep, but this is what these things can cost.

Call up a local shop and ask them what they expect to see in order to dip and if there's anything that you can do to save a few bucks. If there's nothing, then there's nothing. But it only cost you the phone call to find out.

Find a good shop in Mexico. Cost ya just a few pesos. My buddy does a chroming run every year or so and seems happy with his results.

Just sayin......
Here I thought the headliner moulding was steel as well. Learn something new everyday.
