Headlight Harness
I installed the LMC headlight harness on my 66 this evening.
What a PITA. Not the harness, all the rusted, stripped, and missing screws in my truck.
Finally got it all done, another 20 minute job that took 3 hours.
The lights work great, they will work even better when I get a matched set of headlights.
I was wondering, are my headlights fuse protected now or did the LMC harness eliminate the fuse protection?
Should I install a couple inline fuses on the power wires?
Im sure LMC sells bunches of these kits, Im surprised that there were no fuses.

While your at it clean the connections on your dimmer switch. When they act up your lights will flicker or go off at a bad time.

With $90,000 is how one might get one in 1998. The museum purchased the plane and asked me to take charge of restoring it back. So I did the exterior, which was easy, despite having to learn how to fabricate aluminum panels and cowlings. The interior took 4 years just to locate all the missing pieces there during WWII. The bomb bay doors took 12 years to locate after checking out ever rumor on the warbird grapevine. Then found TWO sets in Idaho, jumped into a truck, drove out and got them. Unfortunately, I have stopped working on the plane, after exterior painting, in 2003. I have way too much work to do in saving and restoring the Island superstructure right now.
