Clutch Issues

Im having a problem with my 5-Speed ZF. I know its not chattering because its a brand new south bend clutch and pressure plate, but when im in a gear and hitting no gas, there is a sound very similar to a clutch chatter coming from below my seat. The engine RPM are at idle. If im going down a hill its not there, if im going up or under load it can get pretty bad. Its not slipping however. Doesnt really do it on a normal take off, but when trying to start on a hill or while hauling i can really hear it, not so much feel it. What could this be? It didnt do it the first week i owned the new clutch, i run my truck pretty hard but almost never slip my clutch, i do downshift though

Did the flywheel get resurfaced or replaced?

Gear Rollover.

The DMF doesn't transfer the noise from the motor to the trans, the SMF does.

Most of us put a qt or 2 more of atf in our quiet it down.
It eventually goes away.

Yeah, we go from the top.

If you have not had an SMF before, this is most likely your issue. It's a normal thing.

Yeah, my gear rollover is pretty bad. It sounds the worst in 4th gear, especially at low speeds like riding through town. Sounds terrible.

It's the harmonics of the motor emphasized by the aluminum case of the trans.

Its quite interesting actually.

An extra qt wont be to much for sure. I think I have an extra 2 in mine, but I'm not sure anymore.

Is it possible the problem would be the carrier bearing on the drive shaft, since op says noise is coming from below his seat?

Gear rollover will make the whole seat vibrate.
