Has anyone had experience with the Firestone (or similar brand) suspension airbags?
I am thinking of installing some on my 2001 F-250 4x4 Crew Cab Super Duty and would appreciate any inputs pro/con. Do they enhance the ride? Empty? While towing? Comments?
OBTW, to stop the overloaded towing rant... I don't tow over my weight capacity!
Edmo,
Yep, guilty as charged! I do haul around a fair bit more than the GVW of my old Hi-Boy(nearly 10k with slide-in camper aboard), but do it quite comfortably with the Firestone Ride-Rite air springs. They are the cats' whiskers for adaptability. When they are deflated to the 5psi minimum, you can't even tell they are there! But pump them up to whatever you need (I think they are 100psi max) to level out your rig with a load aboard, and you couldn't ask for more! I wouldn't be without them. I did also add a rear anti-sway bar and Rancho 9000 shocks, another great item! Steve
I use them on my 94 bronco to beef up the suspension for plowing......same as the earlier post....dontknow they are there when down at the 5 psi...pump them up and it helps the sag of the plow emensly.
