Romps

This morning temps around 39F, start truck and the romps start. Nothing to be to alarmed about. Truck runs a little rough and then wants to die, I give it the foot feed slightly to keep it going and then the SES light comes on. I let off ok the pedal and she dies. Start her back up and hold the pedal down to level off the motor and she continues to run. So I leave her run while I go change for work. When I come back the SES had shut off, so I pull out the diablo sport tuner and pull the codes. I pulled P1280 and P0470. I cleared the codes and I am taking her to work. Anything I need to be overly concerned with today, I think one refers to the exhaust back pressure tube and one to the IDM. But please correct me a point me in the right direction.

Ted

What type oil are you using? I found that switching from 15w-40 dino oil to 5w-40 synthetic cured my romps for good. My truck did the exact thing until I switched. I never noticed my SES light going off but it's been so long ago when it happened that it might have.

Oh yeah, additional info to mull. Truck has 220k on the odometer, been running the diablo since 100k. Truck has and still appears to purr like she is supposed to.

Due for an oil change. Currently running Dino 15-40. But am going back to synthetic this weekend for sure.

X2 on the 5w-40 sync..With the truck needing a oil change, that is more that likely your issue
