These reinforce the door handle, making it harder to slide a screwdriver underneath the handle to gain entry to the truck.
What is so ironic is that I saw these at the shop where I got my radio installed...didn't think it was necessary! But I will be getting them on all four of my doors...as well as removing the key lock on the driver door.

If you deal with a live agent, you may want to ask. Some don't raise rates for things like this (or animal impacts) that they perceive don't change the chance for a future claim. It would also depend on how low your deductible is. I think the stereo from Ford is over $600, maybe more depending on features.

The police don't charge people, nor does the judge determine guilt in a criminal trial. Happy ending regardless, though

What is the law in Washington these days? When I lived there, I remember you could use deadly force to stop a felony. A pawn shop owner in Everett drilled a guy in the back when he picked up a TV and ran out the back door. The police charged him, the DA took him to trail, the judge found him innocent.

Did you know that scientists have discovered that criminal activity is caused
by the lack of a basic element in the brain ? They even have a cure. It requires
Intracranial injection of Pb at high velocities and they never offend again. If fact
all the really like to do after that treatment is push up daisies.

Yes, they do. Not every state has a judicial system like Texas.

Police arrest and charge with the crime.

Judges decide the case in a non-jury trail, which the defendant has a right to request.

I'm not basing it on Texas. Nowhere in the US that I know of do Police actually pursue prosecution. Prosecutors work with police, they're all part of the government, but they're not the same. I guess technically it's possible the criminal was dumb enough to request a non-jury trial...

I have setup to get the Jimmi Jammers installed. Do you all usually do them on the backdoors as well? I had planned to do that...most say they have never seen break-ins for the back doors. Is it possible to "jimmi" the back doors as well. (FYI: HAve a crew cab)

I would think yes on the back doors. The mechanism looks very
much the same. In my case I only have one door with a key.
1Key and 3 Blank plates with handles.

I would recommend making sure that your jimmi jammers are advertised somewhere on the truck. An attempted break in will still damage the door, and the repairs for that alone could easily exceed the cost of the radio.

I'm not a fan of anti theft devices. The determined thief will just break the window. Scumbags will always find a way, and insurance protects me regardless of whether or not I attempt to fortify my truck. If I were especially concerned I would take the money I would spend on jimmi jammers and lower my comprehensive deductible.

From what I read, the Jimmi Jammers come with stickers.

As far as your philosophy on anti-theft devices, its a matter of preference I reckon. That's like the equivalent of a police officer saying "I am not going to wear my bulletproof vest, because the determined cop killer will shoot me in the head". In my little unofficial "field study" since my break in, I look at every Super Duty I see parked...I have seen seven and at LEAST FIVE have had the "Jimmy badge". It is obviously a common point of entry, because it is so quick, discreet and quiet. I like to enjoy my music and electronic goodies...it would be insane of me to let it stand to be that easy to enter MY truck, after I have first hand knowledge of it.

As far as insurance, if the truck is BONE stock, then maybe thats an option, but other upgrades I have done insurance not going to cover. If the truck is stolen and never recovered, then I would get the "Market value" of the truck...which I'm sure is laughable compared to what I paid (or still paying, lol) and what I have put into it. Not to mention, Insurance is HIGH ENOUGH on that truck, I definitely do not need it going up because I keep hitting it with break-ins.

Now I know all the nay-sayers are like "well hey, if they really want it, they will get it." That is true. However, MOST thiefs aren't trying to attract all that attention by busting out a window. ( I am talking about where I work, which is where the break-in happened.). Nothing is full proof, but I'll be damned if I will make it easy to take what I have worked hard for.

I had an aftermarket radio in there...which cost less than my deductible actually, which I believe is $500.
