2010 empty dash space

2010 empty dash space
On my 2010 lariat to the right of the radio/ climate control, theres a little empty cubby/storage slot. Exactly opposite of the factory trailer brake. Is there something else that goes there as an option or is this what it's meant to be?

Place for cell phone while charging, extra ammo, business cards and any other junk you can think of. All of the trucks I have been in 2008 forward, they have all had that little box XL/XLT/lariat. Chris
