97 Expedition P0102 Error *FIXED*
I had an ongoing idle issue for the past few months, the idle would stay around 1200. I thought nothing of it until I got a P0102 error yesterday. The truck even started to starve for fuel at take off from stop. A slow push of the pedal would kill the engine. Did a little research on Google and here with nothing really specific but the error code translation was about the MAF.
I went to Autozone and picked up a reman MAF and a new Air Charge Temp Sensor. Installed them both in about 20 minutes. Erased the code and went for a test drive. Right away the truck idles nice at around 800. No issues on take off from stop. And no more check light.
Cost me at total of $101 with my military discount. Then I returned the MAF core and got $16 back. Total fix was $85
