Aotomatic Headlight Sensor

Where is the auto light sensor in my 2008 Lariat? I have what looks like a sensor on the back (side facing the windshield) of my inside rear view mirror, is this it?

On the upper side of the dashboard...between the steering wheel and the windsheild just left of center. There you'll find a small black dome of sorts...it also blinks as your security light when the truck is off and locked...that's your auto headlight sensor.

It measures the amount of light in front of the truck in order to tell how much to dim your rearview mirror.
