fuse box?
I have a 61 4x4 stepside and am woring on the brake lights and turn signals. Igot a new pressure switch and touched the 2 wires together and had brake lights but not with the new switch. Also I don't have turn signals. I pulled the speedometer out and tried to find a fuse box and no luck. (I just ordered a CD for it but was hoping to get some insite on this.) And now do not have power to the brake wire. Where does it get power? The key switch or the headlight switch? Also replaced alternator, wouldn't think that would have anything to do with it.

FWIW, my brake lights and turn signals were intermittent until I replaced the turn signal switch. After I replaced that, no more issues. So if your turn signals don't self-cancel, you need to replace that switch anyway and it may fix your problem.
