I am working on getting rid of my car, and getting a truck to daily. My car is going to nickel, and dime me with the issues the previous owner has caused. So I decided I will get me a truck. Also as of the last couple of years I have become a truck guy vs the car guy I used to be. Luckily I only drive 20 miles a day.
When I look at Ford I find lots by comparison F250's vs the F100 I rather have. If I get a F250 how much worse of mpg would it get if set up for driving then a F100? If I get a F250 I would probably leave it a F250 for the larger brakes. Initially I will do electric fans, exhaust, full tune up, and a Dana 61 with 3.07 gears to replace the 4.11's it likely has.
Lastly I don't want another car or a Ranger. I never been into smaller trucks, and the cars I like are way out of budget for a decent starting point. Where I can find tons of trucks cheap, and they litter pick a part so fix it up parts are cheap for me.
