7.3 reliable power
I have a motor out of a 2000 f250 with around 300k miles and was thinking of rebuilding it and putting it in my excursion. My ex motor is fine , I just like the idea of MORE power.
What kind of power can these motors make and still be stock reliable.
Please give me ideas of what parts it would take to make around 450 horse.
And also cost ?

450hp isnt to bad to make..
38r turbo or better..there are people making 500 with 38r
forged rods
healthy HPOP, Terminator T500,T1000, twin set-up, there are others
injectors, id say 238/100 -- others will jump in
comp 910 valve springs or better
tuning
BTS or John Woods trans..
As far as reliability,I am @500+ and drive/tow daily but this is a new motor..A lot of depends on how you treat and maintain your truck

200 at the rear wheels. Even then it will break if you're hard enough on it.
I encourage you to read up a bit and see what happens to "stock reliability" once you start throwing all sorts of aftermarket parts at it......
