ECM interchange for 2000 7.3 interchange
I'm having some trouble with no ecm comm with the handheld, no fuel punp, no wts light m as i posted in an earlier thread. Truck cold starts beautiful and runs well all day unless i shut it off, then these symptoms exist. I'm suspecting a resistor or something is heating up in the ecm. this truck is a fully loaded lariat crewcab dually. I have two other 2000s with 7.3s, but they're xl model srw crewcabs. all three pickups are automatics. Does anyone know if these ecms will interchange? I need to get this truck back on the road and figured if I could try one of these ecms I could at least rule this problem out. Thanks.........Steve

You should be able to swap PCMs between trucks since they are so similar. You may see some weird codes for the missing modules but will still work fine in many cases.
The gear ratio difference between the dually and SRW won't be an issue, your speedometer should still read correctly.
