I don't mean to sound like a broken record or anything but I have some questions on axles. On my 79 F350, the tab on the door says it has a 36J axle. On my dad's 78 F250, it has a 22E axle. I was just wondering what the gearing was so I can possibly explain to myself the gas mileage. Thanks.

36J is a dana 70 with 3:73 gears and I'll be the truck had power steering too
22 is a dana 61 axel with a adjustable column that dana 61 is running 3.07 gears - that is a pretty big difference
