I did a search but came up empty.
I replaced the nylon bushings on my '97 F150 (v8 5.4L) wiper arms. I can't for the life of me , align the arm back into place to install the bolts. I have tried it with the hood open, closed but it gets caught up in many different areas. It doesn't seem to be bent. I tried re-positioning the "swing" many times but I just can't get it seated into place to finish the job. Anybody got any ideas before I break out my "sawzall" ?
I just finished up with the job. Didn't need the sawzall (lol). It dawned on me to re-install the linkage with one of the bushings unsnapped. It fit like a glove, I could move the linkage arm easily to position in place. Then I snapped last nylon bushing into place after I tighten the 3 bolts. Tried it out and it worked like a charm.
