heater core
my dad has a 72 ranger xlt. it has this big heater box under the dash. is this factory? the heater core is leaky and the replacement piece from our local autoparts store is always the wrong one. we cant find a part number on it. what should we do?

A picture would help. I'm curious because I have a new core to install. Hope its he right one.

Factory installed Integral A/C is combined with the heater. The A/C controls are located in the same panel as the heater controls.
There are two gloveboxes. The one in the dash has a short liner as the A/C's expansion valve is mounted behind it. There's another glovebox in the A/C bezel.
1968/72 F100/350: The heater core used with factory A/C is different than the heater core used without factory A/C.
C8TZ-18476-A .. Heater Core-Use with factory installed Integral A/C / 1968/72 F100/350 / Obsolete / No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
Take the heater core to any radiator shop, have it recored.
