Ok I noticed everything under my truck covered in diesel a few days ago then noticed at idle there was almost constant drops coming from numerous locations which was the runoff so I replaced the lift pump tonight pain in the a$$ btw and was just woundering if anybody has ever seen a mech pump leak where the cast meets the sheet metal I thought that was a pretty tight seal there
And there was fuel every where even dripping from the tray under the radiator
Also here are the pics of the new and the new hoses
Mine leaked from the same place shortly after I got the truck although it didnt spray fuel everywhere just a nice constant drip under the truck at idle (didnt climb under it while driving down the road to see how bad it was not idling )
Ya everything got a nice healthy coat of diesel thats my next to-do clean all that crap up which will be full the fan was throwing it all sorts of directions even had some on the drivers side frame right at thr shock and I could smell it burning off onthe manifolds :-(
mine used to leak from the same place, and it destroyed just about every rubber component it touched, shock absorber bushings, axle pivot bushings, radius arm bushings, engine mounts, bump stop, etc. some of these were found right away, others were found later. here, take a look at how bad it screwed over the axle pivot bushings, which i replaced over a year after fixing the bad lift pump http://dl.dropbox.com/u/39418460/Pic...811_175257.jpg i wish i would have noticed them sooner!
