Tranny Question...

I have an '89 F250 in need of a replacement M5OD (bell housing broken at mounting points)

I found this and am wanting to know which tranny that year came with, so I can use it as a replacement. It's a 351, mines a 302, so it should fit, if it's the same tranny, right?

That should be the zf5 speed. I think the trannys should be an almost direct swap

Besides the driveshaft, what else would be needed from the donor? Pedals and linkage, or is the m5od pedal assembly good?

I'm fairly certain that your hydraulic clutch system is the same, so you shouldn't have to swap pedals or anything. If you have the same cab/box configuration you can use the driveshafts from the other truck. Is your truck a 4x4, because the donor is, and that makes a difference.

Edit:
Just realized your truck is in your sig. You actually might be able to use the same driveshafts from your current truck as long as you use your original transfercase. I believe the difference in tranny length is very minimal so you should be able to get away with it.
