My 96 351w rebuild

Hey guys I think I’ve finally figured out my engine build. I just need some more advice and opinions.

I plan on getting my block back from the machine shop on Friday. The block has been bored .30 over making it a 357. I finally got myself some gt40 heads. I am thinking of milling these heads .30 to bring my compression up. Any opinions on this? I plan on running 1.7rr’s with these and I highly doubt there would be any clearance problems but opinions are welcome.

I hope to get these roller rockers

Do you guys suggest going with different valve springs?

I plan on using the stock intake, injectors, etc. With this combo and pace setter long tubes I’m hoping to get 400+ torque. If I need anything else to achieve this number help me out. Thanks

Since you're rebuilding the bottom end anyway don't mill the heads to raise compression instead use flattop pistons with valve eyebrows, that provides clearance for bigger valves and a high lift/long duration cam should you decide to add one in the future, and eliminates the real possibility for port misallignment between the heads and intake manifold. Otherwise eveything else sound good.

I would have done this however the shop doing my machine work and assembly went with a kit that i believe is all stock so i believe the pistons will be stock
