99 trans issue

99 trans issue
I have a 99 f250 super duty i siezed the engine and when we replaced it the reverse gear was not working but it worked fine before

when we pulled the engine almost no trans fluid came out of torque converter

Sounds like the transmission was damaged when the engine locked up.

The converter has nothing to do with it since it goes forward fine. Maybe our expert; Mark, will chime in on the reverse.

I think you don't have enough ATF in the trans.
