lost 4th gear

lost 4th gear
Hi all on my way to work yesterday i made a right trun herd a strange pop sound and then no forth gear. when in o/d and i hit 40 mph it gose into neutral. but in drive it shifts 2 times and and at 50mph i am running 2200 rpm has this happend to anyone it is a 1993 f150 4x2 with a AOD trans any info or advice would be great thanks
