Hello: I am a diesel beginner,just had a cat/dpf delete and am considering a CAI.can anyone offer a beginner some advice?which one is the best,are there any programming changes to be done with a CAI?will it improve MPG? Thanks in advance: Buck

There are mixed opinions on here for a CAI. Lots will say unless you're running huge tunes, the factory filter is sufficient. Personally, I say upgrade. Best bang for your buck is an S&B. If I did it over again, I would most likely go with AFE Stage 2 or possibly Volant.

I would say keep the stock air intake unless you run into issues.
I would peg aftermarket intake quality below ford genuine part quality.
I had an aftermarket air kit, and the intake boot decided to degrade in half, and if I wouldn't have noticed as soon as I did, it would have cost a turbo, possibly engine too.
