Horn button problems
I posted this in the F-Series section because the steering wheel is the same and there are a lot more of you than there are us van guys here.
On my 77, some kid decided to pull my steering wheel apart and mess up the horn buttons. there are two pieces of rubber that are supposed to keep the metal contacts separated until you press down on the horn button. Well he yanked those right off and there's no way in hell I can get them back on without ruining the metal contacts. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also how in the world do you get the horn button itself back on the steering wheel?
Thanks, Chris.

What are you calling a "horn button" .. the vinyl horn pad?
1974/77 F100/350's, Bronco's and 1975/77 Econolines came with a black 2 spoke steering wheel (D4TZ-3600-A) that uses a vinyl horn pad.
1975/77 F100/350's & Econolines with Speed Control came with a different 2 spoke black steering wheel (D5TZ-3600-A) that has the Speed Control switches located in the vinyl horn bar.
The only round horn button you'll find is the one on the optional 3 spoke "sport" steering wheel introduced in 1978.
