Hi guys, new to the site, just bough a 99 F250SD and have a quick question, whats going on here? I have a feeling this isn't factory hose routing and wonder if whats missing might end up being problematic.
Looks like the AC was removed. Mine has what I think is a condenser and perhaps a compressor in the left hand area towards the firewall of your pic. I've only had my 99 F250SD V10 for about a month, but I agree you're missing components I have. Does the AC work?
Go to this site Use your VIN number to get Ford Window Sticker and key in your VIN to get a copy of the window sticker to see if AC was original equipment on the vehicle. The dash controls could have been swapped after the AC was removed.
My used F250 came with what I thought was the factory 6CD changer. Turns out someone added it after the fact - even though it was a Ford unit. It came out of a year older vehicle based on the radio serial number. Who knows why some folks make the changes they do?
The heater hoses were cut and spliced in two places, once right after the quick connects to the core, and once about a foot away. The heat does work. The way the hoses are routed seems strange to me, like they could be much shorter and more direct to the core.

wonder if there is a limit on the year model, search by my VIN# and I get a 404 error.

heater hoses were spliced in a similar way on my truck. maybe previous owner had a slide in camper and ran heat to it.
Wonder if the sticker site will be back in operation soon? I have a pdf of mine, so it did work at one time. Pretty sure that is the site I used to get it.
I don't believe any camper was on the back, this was previously owned by a tree removal company, has a utility topper. Don't know why they would need heat anywhere else ...
Someone may have installed a heater core bypass at one time? I had a 00 F350 that had coolant lines spliced to a T where coolant would flow to a hydraulic fluid tank. Maybe they had something similar.
It also has speakers, but a factory blank plate where a stereo would go, and no wire harness of any sort to go to a stereo from what I can tell. Except for the antenna plug?
