If you have a diesel engine, then the fuel pressure relieves itself a few moments after the engine shuts off. The fuel bowl has a drain valve to simplify the filter change process.
I am not sure about the procedure for gas engines...

well i have the 5.4 gas engine forgot to say that on the post. hope its the same as lduty model. its eather the #5 or #10 fuse. according to the on line manuals. could not find one for the s duty. so just going to do it.
