hey guys, wifey drives an 06 expy eb 105,000 miles. I put this in the expy forum but haven't had much help. Every now and then maybe once every couple of days it has a surge/hesitation to it while going down the road. never at idle sometimes it even does it with the cruise on just for a second then stops but you can definitely feel it. its not that aggressive but not that subtle either. not throwing any codes. I have a superchips programmer on gas mileage tune, spectre drop in filter. What could I be looking at I thought maybe 02 sensor or plugs I've never done the plugs but don't know if they have been done before ( bought the truck with 90,000 miles on it) Changed the fuel filter about 5k ago. I love it but she is starting to get worried. Thanks in advance.
Our 2003 Expedition 4.6L (100K miles) is also doing the same thing. We had the spark plugs changed a few months ago. Also replaced the little rubber elbow at the back of the intake as it had a big crack in it. I also took off the IAC and cleaned it with B12 Chemtool. Haven't changed the coil packs or boots, and haven't yet cleaned the EGR circuit. No codes, but has the hesitation when going up a small incline with very little throttle. Notice it mainly when cruise control is used and before it downshifts. Idle is smooth, and half to full throttle is fine.
