whats going on guys i need help with a issue that randomly happened last night
i have a 2002 f150 an last night NY got hit with a snow storm so i have running around to do an was out an about doing my errands, when i parked an ran into 1 store an came out an turned my headlights on the driver side HID would not go on so i said okay no big deal maybe its just the ballast i have tons at home ill change it when the snow stops.. so this morning i went an changed it nothing still didnt work, so i thought maybe the lights dead changed that an still nothing.. so finally i put in the stock bulb an STILL nothing.. i dont think the plug is getting any power. how can this happen an what can it be? i was thinking maybe the snow an it got a little wet an it will dry out well still nothing.. how can i fix this issue i need both my lights working a cop has already stopped me an gave me a warning..

start with check your grounds, make sure they're all good and the connections too. Considering that your recent weather event...might have slush/snow hanging on a wire.

well thats the thing the ground thats right there behind the light had little rust an wire brushed it off.. an the fog light wire had snow on it hanging an i heat gunned it dry when i tested the fog light the i never knew i had lol an it worked fine.. just the headlight does not work. what else can it be?
You need a electrical tester (volt/ohm) and with the power off check the power feed (with the headlamp unplugged) with your ohm to see if you have a short to ground. If you have a short you have to trace the wire to see where it is bare or grounded. If not.....
With the power on and the headlamp unplugged, check to see if you have 12v power from the headlamp harness. If you have power it's the lamp or ballast. If not.....
