Looks like a good deal even if it rolled over. I just paid $1800 for my 77 F250 4x4 with a 460 and plenty of rust and a destroyed interior. Keep in mind though.. the guy I bought it from got it a year ago with the intentions of fixing it. He had it towed to his work and it sat there till I bought it. Just understand what your getting into.
Even if the mileage has rolled over, I would grab that truck in a heartbeat. It seems to be in very good shape. Even if it turns out to need more work, they are getting hard to find in the shape that one seems to be, especially in a rusting area such as Michigan. I say go for it.
D2TZ-1210-A .. 16" Trim Ring-Chrome Finish / 17 1/32" O.D. x 11 21/32" I.D. / 1972/79 F250/350
D2AZ-1130-J (replaced D1AZ-1130-A) 15" Wheel Cover-Use with D2TZ-1210-A trim ring.
Expanded the pic and look again, the trim ring is plainly visable. Please explain how the LTD 15" wheel cover could be installed without the trim ring? It did not snap onto the split ring.
Sold many of these wheel covers back then, because they flew off when rounding corners. Sometimes the trim rings went along, sometimes not.
This is what happens when I go out on a limb......I'm wrong....I need to stop doing that. However, I still think I'm right. I agree that the 15" wheelcover could not be installed without the chrome trim ring. My 74 F350 has all 4 of them and they sit on stock 16.5" x 6.75" wheels with 9.50x16.5" tires. Per the 74 Ford truck brochures, my F350 SCS truck came with 9.50x16.5 front tires and the Super Single 12.0x16.5" rear tires. I have 9.5 x 16.5 tires all the way around with the full 15" wheelcovers that snap into the rings. The snap rings wont fit on 16" wheels, only 16.5. I'm guessing that if Ecoboosted takes a look at the tires on the 77, this Saturday, they are 16.5" tires, not 16". At least the ones with the full wheel covers. Here is a link to the 77 Ford brochure and specifically the 16.5" wheelcovers. 77dlrbro_15 Perhaps Ford made the chrome rings for both 16" and 16.5"?

If Eco's F250 is a Camper or Trailer Special, it will have 16.5" x 6.75" 16" wheels. If not, it'll have 16.5" x 6" 16" wheels.
I asked Eco what the emblem under the tailgate finish panel says. This is the location that Ford placed the TRAILER SPECIAL emblem on F250 and 1977/79 F350's.
1973/79 F350's on the 140" wheelbase came with 16.5" x 9.75" 16" wheels.
Better measure, cuz if these wheels aren't present, someone swapped F250 16.5" by 6.75" wheels that came with 8.75" x 16.5" tires.

I'm not sure of what you are indicating above? Either they are 16.5" wheels or 16" wheels, they can't be both. I'm saying that they are 16.5" wheels and not 16" wheels, therefore the chrome snap rings are 16.5" and only fit the 16.5" wheels. There is no such thing as a 16" chrome snap ring.
On the F350 SCS, 10K GVWR, I "think" only the 12.0 x 16.5" super single tires had the wide 9.75 x 16.5" inch wide wheels and that was limited to the rear. The front tires rode on 9.50 x 16.5" on the 6.75" rims since the 9.75 would be too wide. In my truck's case, the super singles were ditched by the original owner long ago, since they are almost impossible to find and replaced all around with the 9.50 x 16.5" which are also becoming hard to find, or at least at a reasonable cost. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
The emblem on the tailgate is an old dealer logo from where the truck was purchased. However, the owner now said something along the lines of the rear wheels were removed or replaced for a camper. I don't recall at all as bad as it sounds.

Anyone know anything on the dual gas tanks?
Stylesides: 1973/76's have exposed fuel caps, 1977/79's have the fuel caps behind doors.
1973/79: Both the factory installed mid-ship and aft axle tanks are installed on the inside of the left frame rail.
Aftermarket 'gypo' fuel tanks usually have the fuel caps behind aluminum doors that are riveted to the left quarter panel.
The gypo tanks are usually installed on the outside of the left frame rail butted up against the quarter panel. A huge mistake that GM made in the late 1970's/80's.
FoMoCo never offered saddle tanks for any truck.
If the truck is as nice as you say it is, it's easily worth the asking price, in fact it's a STEAL! But I wouldn't buy it for 2 cents, why?
CA smog tests all 1976 and newer vehicles. All the original emissions related parts have to be present and in good working order. There is no waiver if the parts are obsolete.
If a vehicle cannot pass the smog test, it cannot be registered, it's as simple as that. It's fix it...or park it!
Plus it's a Regular Cab, at 6-5 275, I haven't a ghost of a chance of fitting in one. Bought new: 1965/68/71 Regular Cabs, then when Arthur reared his ugly head, 1979/88/92 Super Cabs, 2004/2011 Crew Cabs.
The step in height of the 2011 F150 was painful when I bought it, leather seats were hard as a rock. 21 months later, it had become ergonomically undesirable, so down the road it went. Replaced by putt putt in sig.
Wanna bet? Post 30: Compare D2UZ-1210-Aspecs with D2TZ-1210-A specs.
The 1973/79 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog is available on a CD from hipoparts.com
Get a copy, then maybe you can win a discussion. But don't count on it, cuz I did this jazz for 35 years (1962/97) plus another 6 years on FTE, and...
I have a 90-95% memory retention, and an IQ of 163.
Well, I guess I'll have to agree to disagree about the trim rings for the 70's Ford trucks. As far as I know, I have never seen in the truck brochures (as provided) or heard of the chrome snap in rings for a 16" wheel and I'll bet money that if Ecobooster checks the front tire size, it will just happen to be a 16.5" tire size. My IQ is only 162.99 so you're probably right! This has been fun!

Both D2UZ & D2TZ trim rings listed in the 1964/72 & 1973/79 truck parts catalogs, so...there you have it, one for 16, one for 16.5.
well it is only 2wd and a regular cab longbed.. pretty common
When was the last time you saw one this nice, especially with all the options?
I've yet to see one anywhere as nice in Seward, Girdwood, Anchorage, Wasilla, Palmer, Talkeetna, Fairbanks, Skagway, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan and other AK locals I visted 4 separate times since 2004.
And I do look at both the "old rolling piles of misery" scenery and the rest of the scenery everywhere I travel.
Thanks to all who commented for all of your help. I decided that no matter how busy my schedule is, everyone needs time to unwind. Maybe this will be my method of relaxation for a while.
