Stolen 2003 F-250 Crew Cab - Houston, TX

A million to one shot, but you never know.

Stolen off a downtown Houston parking lot yesterday in broad daylight was my 2003 F250 Crew cab 4x4 King Ranch.
Facebook

Not sure if that picture works.

In any case, I know it's probably south of the border by now.

Thanks,
TX

I'm up in Dallas and it the same crap. F250/350s number one stolen vehicle in Texas and top 3 in nation. All going to Mexico cause the cartels like them...especially the 7.3 because they can run crap fuel/oil. I'm just waiting for mine to go...only a matter of time.

Sorry to hear,

More and more we read about this crap. People work hard for stuff only to have some low life come and take it.

I was planning a trip down to TX to visit my wifes cousin next year I guess I will be installing a Revleco or whatever its called if I can find an installer up here. I know its not going to stop them from getting in and trying to steal it but hopefully they wont get it started cause that would be a bad day for me with a 36' 5er in tow.

Again sorry for the truck being taken,

Sarge

Sounds like a vicious circle to me, drug cartels steal Fords from the U.S. so they can use them to ship drugs back to the U.S. to supply their customers. What came first the chicken or the egg? Aye I hope the Canadians don't get wind of this Aye & start stealing Ford Horizons Aye to transport bootleg syrup down here. aye.

It is nothing new. I was stationed at Ft. Huachuca, in SE Arizona, back in the late 1970's and early 80's. Even back then, the favorite vehicle to steal was an F-Series pickup. They would haul contraband or illegal aliens across the border with the stolen trucks and usually get the crap beat out of them in the process.

my guess is its being used as we speak to ferry illegals across the border..

last guy here who posted about the same thing, had his truck turn up later on, ruined and almost completly gutted.. i guess with no interior they can fit inside even more people...

If I lived down there I would leave it open with the key in it. I would have some kind of gizmo that wouldn't let it start. They get in turn the key and scratch their heads and leave..JMO...I hate thieves.

Houston PD called me yesterday afternoon to let me know they found it. Stripped. I haven't seen it personally, but was told that "a lot of it is gone". Now waiting for the adjustor to give the verdict, but was told that they'll probably total it. Straight, clean SuperDutys are stripped of almost everything including hood, doors, tailgate, and King Ranches are especially prized for their seats.

Spent most of yesterday digging through emails / papers for receipts of everything I ever put on it of any monetary significance. While they pro-rate the age of the accessory, at least they'll give you something.

By the time you add up the Banks system, front grille conversion, Westin bumper bar, KC Lights, Ford side steps, Pace roll top cover, front receiver hitch, various LED lighting upgrades, and the recent turnover gooseneck hitch, it's almost $7K of stuff.

Lost are the thousands spent on engine upgrades like ARP headstuds, EGR delete, intake and exhaust items, recent front end overhaul on ball joints, tie rods, etc.
