My new (older than me) baby

Joined the forum today and wanted to introduce my truck to everyone.

I picked up this 1967 F100 up in Perry GA with what we are pretty sure is 107K original miles for $1000. After adding brake fluid to a dry brake booster I drove her home 90 miles at speeds up to 65 mph with no issues. I am on the fence about which way I want to go with her right now, but there is plenty of routine maintenance to catch up on till then. Plan on doing a full tune up, a carb rebuild, oil and filter change in the next or two. Not sure about the other fluids just yet, but they are on the list. There is lots of wiring to run down as well, but at least the lights all work, kinda.

Anyway, here's pics.

VIN Plate (for those that want to decode and maybe tell me something I haven't dug up already....)

Thanks for the response, NumberDummy.

I had figured it was a styleside originally. I have no idea what happened to the original bed. The flat bed was obviously built in someones garage (welds not ground down smooth, 2x4's used as bed shims, wiring all over the place). The tail lights looks to be newer than the rest of the truck. I am wondering if someone added them when they needed to put it back on the road, ie: it was a farm truck for some period. I am waiting on a build sheet from Ford to hopefully see how it left the factory, and maybe the dealership, configured.

Same exact taillamp assy's: 1967/72 F100/350 Styleside / 1967/77 Bronco / 1967 Econoline (some) / 1969/74 Econoline.

FoMoCo has not had any records available for 1967/79 vehicles since the late 1980's and is now charging a fee for the build sheet they used to give away for free.

In the late 1980's, FoMoCo was planning to THROW AWAY all these records. Kevin Marti, a Mustang/Shelby "nut" in Phoenix AZ found out...and got ALL OF IT!

Ever since, FoMoCo has had to get the info from Marti. You can too (martiauto.com) for a fee, which escalates depending on how much info you want. Known in the hobby as a Marti Report.

They look the same, but looks can be deceiving. 1967's have a plethora of parts that are 1967 only. Not the same as 1968/72's. The door shells and most of the internal parts for one example.

1967: You push the inside handles forward to lock the doors. 1968/72's have door lock *****.

I gave the wife a list of 20 trucks I wanted to look at and told her to scratch off the one she would not want sitting in the driveway in it's current shape. This one was still on the list, so I called on it that night and I had it 8 days later.

I love the contrasting grill and have an evil idea for some final paint colors but more on that later.....

The flat bed is solid from what I can tell and I love the look. Going to redo the wood this winter with a custom modular system. A good stain and seal and the wood should last till I decide to repaint it.

No heater??? I see the blower motor in the cab.
Doesnt it have the (economy) heater that has one fan switch below the instrument panel? I cant remember if there was any in cab control for hot/cold, "I think" you had to open the hood and adjust the valve manually....it was located either on the intake or inline on the heater hose. And to change from defrost to heat you have to reach under the dash and manually flip the blend door on the heater plenum box. Its been a while since I have seen one so I cant remember exactly how it works. Im pretty sure its got heat though.
