91 explorer radiator fan replacement?
Unscrew the fan clutch from the water pump snout (it is left hand threads). You may need to get a special tool to remove it. AutoZone rents the set for a nominal price. You may also need to remove the fan shroud to get the clutch/fan assembly out. Then remove the bolts holding the fan to the clutch assembly. Install is the reverse.

91 explorer radiator fan replacement?
I just removed the fan clutch on our 92 and on the Fan Shroud it said "right hand threads"..
If it is right hand threads, it is lefty loosen (when standing at the front of the truck)..
If its left hand threads, is is righty loosen..
Double check before you try to take it off.. (btw.. I have 2 books for our X, and one said left threads, the other said right threads).
