Help with rating plate data

I am going to get a reproduction rating plate from AG Backeast for my 1954 F100. The question I have is AG is telling me the rear axle should be 3.92. The Mid Fifty catalog says it should be 3.91. The tag on the differential is 47/12 or 3.91. Who is correct? Also I am not sure what the oriiginal transmission was but AG is stating the most common would be Standard 3 Speed? Thanks for your input.

Rounded off it's 3.92, and that was what Ford used on the ratings plates. Look here: http://www.clubfte.com/users/earl/Re...al.html#Rating Plate Information and VIN Decoder

Standard 3-sp trans code is "3"

Thanks for the input. I wondered what the correct ratio to use because in the Mid Fifty cataloge it list 1953-54 as 3.91 and 1955-56 as 3.92.
