I have a 1969 F250 4x4 and the divorced transfercase (Dana 24) is leaking very bad and the truck will pop out of 2Hi on the highway sometimes.
My question is, should i rebuild this case or go to an NP205?
I am having trouble finding a Dana 24 around here, will an NP205 be a direct bolt in? How hard is it to rebuild the Dana 24? My skill level is probably moderate, I do most things my self (tranny, clutches, suspension, brakes, etc...)
Any help would be appreciated.
