1998 XLT 4.6L problems
I took my truck to the shop, they said the reason my truck is been misfiring is due to the intake manifold gasket is gone & coolant is leaking
in there. Also I notice everytime I park my truck in the garage, there is reddish color drops on the floor. The mechanic said that is due to the oil
lines & transmission lines are rusted. I heard of the transmission lines going bad but never heard of any oil lines going bad on the expedition.
also if it was the oil lines I would see brownish color drops on the floor
not reddish. Have anyone ever had this problem with the transmission lines. all together he wants 1200 bucks to fix everything.

If its just the trans lines, buy them from rock auto, and its not a hard job to replace them, you can get both lines under 200. As for the misfiring, these modual engines can be known for this, its very important to use dielectric grease on the boots before sliding them on to insure a proper fitting.
