Hey guys. Thought I would make a thread on the Dana 60 swap 91DirtyDiesel and I did today.
Started out with my TTB front axle was about a mile a way from falling off the truck.(video) So after searching Craigslist for the last 3 weeks I FINALLY! Found a Dana 60 from a 94 f350 complete with 4inch lift springs. People were wanting 1200-1600$ for their kingpin Dana 60s. Not even complete!! I called the guy and picked it up about 20 min after he posted it. Got it all for $800. Grabbed the factory rear f350 block from it to. And a dropped pitman arm. Then got a killer deal on dirtydiesel's black wheels and tires.
Install took roughly 4-5 hrs start to finish. Very satisfied with the look of the truck. Best part was dropping the TTB straight to the ground and dragging it to the junk pile! Another Dana 60 swap in the books. 91DirtyDiesel will be along any time now with some pics and a video!
It looks good man! Will taking out some of the leafs change how much wait the springs can handle without sagging? Just a thought I had since you took some out and and the idi is kinda heavy. But overall, that truck looks really nice!
Congrats on the upgrade! Truck looks fantastic bro... 'lil bit 'o bull nose bias (he he). You will love it... I've owned both and steering and handling is night and day. Looks ^100%
