Reason: Not a good idea to have your phone number out there, there`s too many scammers lurking around.
What do you mean the rear end is still locked up? Is the transfer case locked into 4LO but only the rear wheels are spinning? Your transfer case should be manually controlled so those wires shouldn't have anything to do with the transfer case operation.
Ya the front end is free just the backs are turning like its locked in 4 wheel still kinda strange any body have any ideas cause the 4 wheel drive hardly gets used
All i did was go up a 6 foot incline that was steep got out and unlocked the hubs and put it.in 2 hi and drove home which is not even 5 minutes away but drove at 20 mph and it acts like the rear end is still locked up
With the front hubs disconnected there is no 4wd operation. You could leave the transfer case in 4 Hi/Lo all day without really affecting the rear axle operation. Your description of the issue is really vague and confusing to me. Is the truck not wanting to move forward? Is there resistance or noises when trying to corner? I wish we could help you out but I am drawing a blank on what your issue really is.
I am quite certain your truck does not have an electric shift transfer case, it should be manual. Do you have a shifter on the floor to switch between 2wd, 4wd Hi/Lo and neutral? If so there is nothing electronic related to your problem.
Its in the floor,it moves fine just acts like its in 4lo in the rear its a automatic if that helps, when i got it home i looked under it and noticed some wires hanging down.they were wrapped around the 4wd driveline and it had ripped them,i had them fixed and its still actn up its my daily driver, its never been beat up or in the mud theirs never been any heavy stress on.the transfer case
